The Collection

The national reputation of the Gallery’s collection is enhanced by its specialist collections of works on paper which includes old master prints and drawings through to modern and contemporary Australian works on and with paper.

A number of key works are held which represent the diversity of works on paper practice and its development as a distinct medium throughout the nineteenth to the twenty first centuries.

Through the biennial National Works on Paper award and acquisitive exhibition, the collection continues to grow and develop in new and exciting directions.
