NWOP Artist Workshop: Mandy Gunn

This workshop is inspired by Mandy's love for cardboard and creating exciting and intricate forms with found and recycled materials.

Experienced tutor Mandy Gunn will lead participants through a variety of techniques using recycled and re-purposed papers. Learn how to construct innovative artworks from books, wrappings, cardboard - anything on the discard pile! Techniques include weaving, folding, cutting, scissor and knife work. All experience levels welcome.

$90 / $110 per person. Cutting materials will be provided. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

MPRG will supply cutting mats, steel rulers and cutting knives, scissors, glue, pencils, paint and brushes and thread. Please supply your own protective glove for the non-cutting hand and a variety of papers (suggested options will be supplied on booking)

Arrive by 9.45am for a 10am start. There is ample parking on site and morning tea will be provided. Please supply your own lunch.

Mandy Gunn is a mixed media artist based in South Gippsland, Victoria. She has exhibited widely all over Australia in solo, group and travelling shows, along with some international exhibitions. Her work covers many media-painting, monoprinting and installation. Mandy is known for her constructed and woven work with recycled materials. Many of these pieces are in public collections.

Mandy’s teaching career spans schools, tertiary education at RMIT and the Council of Adult Education. She has facilitated many workshops for art groups such as Grampian Arts, regional galleries and private groups.
