Be inspired by Sophie’s loose, painterly interpretations of a stunning, still life arrangement from Peninsula Wildflower.
Looking at bringing the ‘outside inside’ Sophie will structure the class around a glorious bunch of flowers from Peninsula Wildflower. She will use the still-life as the vehicle to explore the endless possibilities of the medium. Sophie will focus on the importance of composition, mark making and loose brush work. Structuring the day in 3 parts, the workshop would suit beginners or seasoned artists who would like to loosen up!
Sophie will be painting alongside the class so she can discuss the process as you go and have opportunities to look at each work and its progress.
Arrive by 9.45am for a 10am start. There is ample parking on site and morning tea will be provided. Please supply your own lunch. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.

Paint is Sophie's favourite medium; she loves the continual learning of what can be achieved with paint and seeing the landscapes endless possibilities through colour, texture, shapes and light.
Everyday environments inform her work, Sophie tells ‘The Design Files’ in 2019. ‘Through colour and composition, I hope to explore the endless possibilities that paint can create… I attempt to create a new way of looking at a familiar landscape’ she shares. ‘I love the freedom and freshness paint can bring to a landscape I have visited over and over again.’
