MPRG Connect

Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery is thrilled to launch MPRG Connect! MPRG Connect serves to enhance the relationship between the Gallery and our local visual artists, with the initiative providing time, space, mentorship and support to our creative communities.

Along with our local focus series of exhibitions, MPRG Connect seeks to promote awareness and appreciation for the Peninsula’s local talent. Each week, via Instagram we will celebrate a local artist via an artist spotlight. We then ask each of these featured artists to put forward a fellow Mornington Peninsula artist, allowing the network to organically curate its own growth.

MPRG will also host a range of MRPG Connect events with the aim of facilitating networking, professional development and mentoring opportunities. These events will be open to all artists living or working on the Mornington Peninsula.

Thursday 1 July - MPRG Connect Launch

The first in an ongoing series of events this session seeks to introduce artists to their peers through casual networking set to the backdrop of our new WINTER exhibition program. With a special introduction from Susan McCulloch, long-time friend of the Gallery and daughter of founder Alan McCulloch.

Thursday 12 August - MPRG Connect: Photographing your Work

Join the MPRG Connect network for this hands-on workshop which will demonstrate how to capture high-quality digital images of both two- and three-dimensional artwork to strengthen websites, social media, exhibition and grant proposals. For more details and to register see here.
