Join Friends of MPRG for a trip to the iconic Archibald Prize at Geelong Gallery. The Archibald Prize was the first major prize for portraiture in Australia following a bequest from the journalist JF Archibald.

First awarded in 1921, this prestigious award showcases a who’s who of Australian culture including politicians, celebrities, sporting champions, artists and eminent Australians. After taking the bus and ferry, have a coffee break on arrival, before viewing the exhibition for an hour. Lunch will be at The Public cafe, set inside the architecturally award-winning Geelong Library’s great dome.

Lunch includes a delicious main course and a glass of wine.
