Volunteers play an important and valuable role at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. Our vibrant team of dedicated volunteers support gallery staff in performing a range of duties including front of house, administrative assistance and supporting the delivery of events and public programs. Serving as the first point of contact for our gallery visitors, volunteers are integral to ensuring a rich visitor experience.
Our volunteer roles require reliability and commitment. The level of commitment ranges from once a fortnight for reception duties, to an ‘as required’ basis for event support, exhibition attendant and education program assistance. Our volunteers develop warm relationships over time with both staff and other volunteers.
All of our volunteers are provided with training and support pertaining to their specific roles. As a Mornington Peninsula Shire owned and operated facility, all volunteers are required to abide by the Shire’s code of conduct and staff policies. We currently have a Covid -19 Safe Workplan in place. All staff and volunteers are required to have a Working with Children Check (free for volunteers) and a Police Check (which the gallery pays for).
