EXHIBITION IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE - COVID-19 UPDATE

MPRG local focus exhibition

The landscape in-between is an exhibition of new paintings by local artist Sophie Perez. Inspired by the landscapes of the Mornington Peninsula, Perez is drawn to the changing seasons with their unique colour, texture and light.

‘The stunning and variable landscape of the Peninsula has given me an evolving subject on which to hang my painterly obsession. I see my works as freezing a moment in time, a conversation within the landscape and an attempt to capture the essence of place.’

Perez is a British-born artist who graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2003 with an MA in Painting. In 2005 Perez relocated to Melbourne and now resides on the Mornington Peninsula. She was the winner of the Mornington Peninsula Shire’s 2019 Green Wedge exhibition.
