About the Friends

The Friends of MPRG are part of the vibrant cultural life of the Mornington Peninsula. We are a dedicated group who strongly believe that arts and culture benefit our community and are determined to help raise the Gallery’s public profile.  We see our role as a community voice, helping to ensure we retain our wonderful gallery.

As a major part of our charter we allocate funds to acquire works for the permanent collection, primarily through the biennial National Works on Paper prize.

Friends of MPRG support the ongoing development of the Gallery. The Friends organise regular events, such as coffee morning talks and excursions, which help connect our membership socially, and bring new people into the Gallery.

If you would like to join click here to go to membership page and download a membership application.
