Join Jill Anderson, MPRG artist/educator for an inspiring workshop looking at nurturing young children’s creativity. Jill has run Young at Art, a successful weekly under 5’s program at MPRG for many years, using diverse artworks as starting points for open-ended creative play with simple materials. Bring along your favourite picture books and learn to use the illustrations to fire your students' imaginations!

Optional morning program:

10-11am. If you have the time, why not drop in to Young at Art at MPRG 10-11am and observe all or part of the hour to see one way to run a session encouraging creativity in under 5’s. Feel free to wander the gallery and take in all the fabulous shows we have on this Autumn.

11am-12pm. Then may I recommend heading over to the nearby industrial estate for an early lunch or maybe just a cuppa at Common Folk. Don’t forget to be back at MPRG by 12pm please!

Afternoon program:

12-1.30pm Workshop Part 1 Jill will explain her approach and share tips and ideas to foster fun and relaxed creative experiences for students and teachers of all abilities. Be inspired by many examples of successful activities and spend a relaxed afternoon refining your own art-making skills under Jill’s guidance. Explore the ideas that appeal to you and create your own easy-to-make examples to wow your students.
