Sundance Studio Weaving Workshop

Sundance Workshop_Web size.jpg

Emma's immersive workshop will provide the foundation for understanding the principles of weaving, encouraging exploration of texture and colour through captivating yarns. You will acquire the knowledge and essential skills for the craft, but also receive the materials necessary to continue your creative endeavours at home.

Participants will learn how to set up the warp, use different colours to create shapes and patterns in the weft and experiment with texture and different methods to finish your weaving.

Weaving is a slow and repetitive process and is a lovely way to relax and immerse oneself in a tactile activity.

What’s included?
• A frame loom, 25cm x 35cm.
• A curated range of natural materials (linen/silk/wool/cotton) to use on the day, as well as extra to complete their weaving at home.
• 2 x wooden needles.
• A wooden comb.
• A comprehensive instructional booklet including resources and inspiration.

Please bring a bite to eat if you wish to snack during the scheduled 15 minute break.
