Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery welcomes enthusiastic art lovers for the prestigious and popular Archibald Prize 2023 with an extraordinary display of 57 portraits, featuring public figures and cultural identities from all walks of life, reflecting the stories of our times.
As the first stop on the Archibald Prize 2023 regional tour and the only Victorian venue, the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery hosts the renowned portrait prize from 15 September to 5 November 2023.

This exclusive Victorian event will bring tens of thousands of visitors to the Mornington Peninsula to enjoy the works on display and the immersive program of events and art experiences.
Established in 1921, Archibald Prize is now more than a century old and is judged by the trustees of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Commonfolk, an icon of the peninsula culinary scene, is serving up locally roasted coffee and nutritious seasonal tucker. Friday and Saturday nights, the exhibition is open late with live music and Mornington Peninsula beer, wine, spirits and food.
