We will spend approximately 20 minutes with each artist where there will be an opportunity to ask questions. We will have our fold out chairs available for you whilst we walk through the exhibition and stop to learn about each of the works.

Susanna Castleden - Working in drawing, printmaking and text, Susanna creates large-scale works that often include sculptural or multi-part elements. Recent projects explore mobility and mapping specifically associated with leisure travel, examining the phenomenon of mobility and what it means to be part of a world that, until 2020, was seemingly increasingly on the move. Susanna is a Western Australian based artist.

Matthew Clarke is an artist based in Warrnambool. He loves to work with acrylic paint—especially in summer—because of its fast-drying nature, which allows him to paint over and through layers in order to build impasto textures. In year 12 Matthew was advised he shouldn’t study visual arts because he was unable to draw a clock... Nonetheless he persisted!

Mandy Gunn - Mandy's work reflects natural and synthetic environments with a particular interest in found and recycled materials. Her practice involves layering shapes, patterns and colours, mixing up materials and weaving into a three-dimensional construction. Mandy's work references the environmental concern for excessive waste produced through the modern lifestyle.

Marina Strocchi was born in Melbourne and spent her formative years exploring, studying and working within the realm of painting and printmaking. Moving to the Northern Territory in 1992, Strocchi established the Ikuntji Art Centre at Haasts Bluff and has been extensively involved in arts programs across Central Desert communities for three decades. In April, 2021 Strocchi returned to Melbourne to set up life in the Yarra Valley.
