Step into the magical world of the skywhale family with celebrated artist Patricia Piccinini as she shares her beautiful new children’s book, Every Heart Sings.

This enchanting story, published by the National Gallery of Australia, follows Skywhale, Skywhalepapa and their babies on a heartfelt journey about nature, family, evolution, care and wonder.

Following the spectacular Skywhales Across Australia launch that morning at Red Hill Recreation Reserve, join us at MPRG for this special storytelling session with Patricia herself. Hear about the inspiration behind her much-loved floating sculptures and discover how Every Heart Sings captures their message of connection and compassion for all living things.

Every Heart Sings will be available to purchase in the MPRG shop & book signing tale will be set up in the Gallery foyer. The reading is suitable for 6 - 12 year olds.

Children can also enjoy our free creating & making table after the reading, inspired by the Skywhales’ world of imagination and care.

Perfect for families and young readers, this event promises to spark imaginations and warm hearts. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet one of Australia’s most visionary artists and experience the Skywhales’ story come to life!
