FRIDAY UNWINDS with Jaq Grantford: Artist talk and tour

After your week winds down, join us for an intimate ‘in conversation’ with MPRG Curator Dunja Rmandić and Carrum Downs based artist and ANZ 2023 People’s Choice winner, Jaq Grantford. Jaq is a first-time finalist in the Archibald Prize, although she has painted Noni on another occasion, a portrait which was acquired by the National Portrait Gallery in 2022. Hear how the adoration of a stranger inspired Jaq to paint Noni for a second time, why the symbols were added later and how important it was to create the twinkle in Noni's eye.
