{FRIENDS OF MPRG EVENT} No Pauper Was I

rose garden.jpg

What a wonderful way to commence this year's Friends of the Gallery program - in the beautiful setting of the Mornington Botanical Rose Garden!

We'll gather to celebrate the 150th anniversary of a remarkable Australian poet, John Shaw Neilson, in song and story.

John Thorn, singer and composer, comes to us fresh from a cabaret show at the Comedy Festival.

He will sing to us his own settings of Neilson's beautiful verse and Ken Parker will sketch something of Neilson's life story. This is bound to be a memorable occasion and is a fund-raiser for the Friends.

Cost: $20 (includes a delicious picnic lunch)

Venue: Mornington Botanic Rose Garden , Dunn's Road Reserve, Mornington
