Painting En Plein Air at Police Point Shire Park, with Nicole Kelly

Participants will paint outside en plein air inspired by the surrounding natural environment of Police Point Shire Park and the Point Nepean National Park, under the guidance of award-winning Australian artist Nicole Kelly.

Artists of all abilities are invited to participate. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited to 12 participants. You are welcome to paint in oils or acrylics.

Materials are not included; please see the materials list for what to bring.

Saturday 3 February 10am - 1pm.
Please arrive from 9:30am for a 10am start.

Location:
Police Point Shire Park, Portsea. Please meet at the small gravel car park at the beginning of Franklands Drive. After entering Police Point Shire Park, Franklands Drive is the first street on the right.

Materials List (Please bring):

  • Water bottle and snack
  • Easel
  • 1 small canvas board or stretch canvas
  • Artist Palette
  • Oil or acrylic paints. Please bring the paints you already have and use.
  • Oil painters: 2 x small glass containers for solvent and medium. Please bring odourless solvent - preferred brand is Gamsol & Art Spectrum Medium 
  • Acrylic painters: 2 x small containers for water and medium
  • Palette knife
  • Old rags
  • Brushes - Art Basic brand is recommended
