School Holiday Workshop: Monotype Printmaking with Jennifer Buntine

Want to try unique, one-of-a-kind printmaking? Join us for a Monotype Printmaking Workshop with local artist Jennifer Buntine.

Monotypes are the most direct form of printmaking. Similar to painting and drawing, with opportunities of layering and playing with ghost prints, Monotypes can be printed by hand or with a printmaking press.

During the workshop we will view the current exhibition at MPRG -Do You Read Me, watch demonstrations, then you will have the opportunity to discover various methods of Monotype printmaking including - Positive, Negative, Transfer, Stencils and Layering, utilising the printmaking press.

This workshop is designed for young people who are interested in exploring this direct printmaking technique, expanding their VCE folio or simply excited to make an artwork!

Please bring a smock to protect your clothes.

All art materials provided.

 

About Jennifer Buntine

Working figuratively, Jennifer explores the human need for connection to others and the environment. She finds inspiration in narratives, performance and the historic rituals we practice to give meaning to our lives.
